Border survey at Akureyri Airport

The project involves conducting a border survey among international travellers in the departure lounge of Akureyri Airport. The survey is administered to international passengers on direct flights from Akureyri to the UK, the Netherlands and Switzerland between November 2024 and March 2025.

The main goal of the survey is to collect data on travellers who have visited North and East Iceland, focusing on how they plan their trips, where they travel within these regions and whether direct international flights from Akureyri influence their travel decisions.

The project is conducted for Isavia in collaboration with Visit North Iceland and Visit East Iceland.
